ABOUT
About - Jimmy Bell

Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist

Jimmy was born in the windy City of Chicago in 1955 where he formed his first rock band at the age of 13.  Now a semi-native of Colorado and former member of various semi-professional rock bands, such as Marble Reign, Hard Romance, and Flooke;  Jimmy now embarks on a new musical journey.  A musical journey for God.  Since becoming a born again Christian in 2013 he believes and knows all good things come from God, including his new found inspiration.  Thus the project title:  Hand Of God Music.  Below you will find details of his skills and credits.
Reviews and Awards During the early 90’s Jimmy was featured in several national magazines.  One worth noting is the March 1993 issue of Home & Studio Recording where * Neil Kernon says, “The recording quality of Jimmy Bell’s tape is pretty good, especially considering the tools he had to work with.  In fact, I’d say it was quite an achievement in fidelity.” * Neil Kernon - Producer / Engineer whose career began over 20 years ago at the legendary Trident Studios in London.  His works include a mixed bag of artists ranging from Dokken and Queensryche to Daryl Hall and John Oates to Michael Bolton. During this same period Jimmy was a quarter finalist in the American Song Festival and received a Music City Song Festival award for his song “Run Like The Devil”.  He also placed top 10% in the nation in the 1992 4th annual Billboard Song Contest with his songs “Cajun Moon”, “Highway Robbery”, and “One Day”. Jimmy was very active during these years and also established himself as a graphic portrait artist.  He spent countless hours drawing some of his favorite artists and others.  His work has been featured and sold in art galleries and stores across the front range of Colorado.  In 1996 Jimmy donated print #9/500 of his Jerry Garcia Lithograph to PBS Channel 6 Television which brought $1500.00 at auction.  Some of his work can still be purchased through inquiry, or custom purchased through his Red Bubble account using the following Internet link:  Jimmy Bell on Red Bubble. One of Jimmy’s goals has always been to do a graphic rendering of Jesus Christ, maybe this can be achieved once he finishes producing his Christian music CD “Jesus Songs” to be released later this year of 2016.
